Visitors enjoy free resources and meeting like minded neighbors

A physical and virtual hub to facilitate Western Nevada County’s transition to a sustainable community. The Center serves the general public as a community gathering place for “greening” their lives.  It’s a place where visitors and locals can connect to businesses and organizations that provide knowledge and tools for living sustainably.

The Center serves to coordinate existing groups’ efforts in our community and develop new programs to build relationships that increase efficiency and effectiveness as our community proactively transitions to a local, sustainable economy.

As a highly visible, physical place, the Center is a source of pride and identity for our community and attracts locals and tourists as a hub of activity, inspiration, and accomplishment.  It is a catalyst for citizen involvement, volunteerism, and education. The Center houses exhibits and resources that guide our community into a committed transition.
